Workforce Action Team

The Workforce Action Team is a network of over 85 workforce development, economic development & social service professionals who meet monthly and share information to enhance the delivery of workforce development opportunities for area residents.

The group’s mission is to “collaborate to find solutions to improve the accessibility, efficiency, and effectiveness of workforce development services that help move people toward economic self-sufficiency through a continuum of employability-enhancing, results-based services that produce skilled workers needed by local employers”.

The Workforce Action Team regularly shares:
- Best practice information in relevant workforce development and non-profit disciplines
- Employment opportunities including job openings and career fair information
- Grant opportunities in workforce development areas
- Client referral opportunities for new and existing programs
- Capacity building opportunities like workshops and electronic resources
